Michael Malek

Michael comes straight from the cheese state of WI where he grew up on a lake fishing the Great Lakes for Salmon, and the local lakes for all the native species of the state. After moving to NC 9 years ago his passion for fly fishing took over and  he is a very dedicated knowledgeable angler and guide. He loves to be on the rivers sharing his experience while teaching clients about the conservation of the local trout habitat. He is also a retired chef, so if you go out with him the meals are worth it just for that. Besides fishing Michael is also a banjo player who’s recently left the group Into The Fog, keep an eye out for him on stage after hunting trout in the Western NC. When not on the river Michael loves to home-brew while tying fly’s and relaxing with his wife and dog.
